>mad about madras

I have to be honest: I was a little unsure about this madras jacket when I saw it on the rack. It was not love at first sight. But then I peeked at the label and saw that it was JCrew for just ten bucks, and suddenly I thought it was adorable. I’m a bit of a label whore every now and then… Don’t judge me ;-)

The tricky part was finding a way to style this jacket so it didn’t feel like I was on my way to the yacht club or a polo match. I paired it with my favorite dark skinnies and a long cami, and finished it off with satin peep toe pumps to mix up the textures and make it feel a little dressier and more feminine.

  • >Just found your blog through What I Wore, love it. Love your style and think you're totally original. My new years resolution this year was to not wear anything retail (i.e. thrifted, gifted, or found only), and so far so good. I am inspired by your collection of clothes. Keep up the good job!The Misseshttp://younghabeshafabulous.blogspot.com/
