Leopard Umbrella (Walgreens, $12ish)

I know what you’re thinking: “Keira, why are you wearing sunglasses while simultaneously carrying an umbrella?”

No, I’m not trying out new props (although Beverly did an awesome post about the use of props to make style shots more interesting — I’m going to have to try out spidey hands, B).

It’s raining, and there’s not a sliver of sunshine in sight.

Apparently my eyes are staging a revolt against my contact lenses. I think in all of the emotion of the last week, I’ve washed an obscene amount of mascara, eyeshadow and Too Faced Shadow Insurance into my eyeballs with tears. My eyes look like I have a bad case of pink eye, or I’ve been hanging out with Cheech and Chong; neither of which is the case. My dog has eaten all of my glasses (your dog eats shoes, mine eats eyewear) so I’m stuck wearing my contacts, which is just exacerbating the problem. C’est La Vie.

I really haven’t wanted to get dressed at all this week. All I want to do is sit around my house in PJ’s, eating my feelings and taking coma-like naps. I’ve been wearing this same denim shirt dress in different variations since Monday, most of which are not a pretty penny-appropriate. It’s a good think I’m in the middle of Summer Style Bootcamp, or you’d probably start to worry.

About Keira Lennox

I’m a small town girl from the sunshine state with an affinity for bookstores, beauty counters and unfussy style.

I spend my days running my flower shop, and my nights blogging about what I love and what I wear.

(Or watching Netflix and drinking wine.)

  1. >Hahaha, it does make for a more interesting shot, doesn't it. I really like that outfit. I remember that shirt from an earlier post but it looks so different with the skirt. Well done Keira!May I say, clever skirt action too.

  2. >Great outfit! You really pulled it off. Love the sandals (including the toenail polish!).I believe that every girl needs a leopard print umbrella. It's fierce. And fairly priced too!!!Best wishes from one blogger to another,~Zabrinah

  3. >I really hope your eyes feel better. I don't have glasses either so when my eyes bother me, I'm still with the contact lenses. Oh and I'm loving the outfit! The denim shirt looks great with that skirt.

  4. >I hope your eyes feel better soon. :( This outfit is adorable. I love the way you tied your belt, and good tip on the skirt! I also love the contrast between the floral skirt & animal print umbrella in your pictures.all-aboutaj.blogspot.com
