With summer winding down (in theory, not so much in terms of weather) I feel like my days of super-light outfits are numbered. In just a few weeks I’ll have to pack up my white jeans until next Spring.

If you’re wondering, Doak did not get a bad haircut on his left leg. He drank some epsom salt water last week that was in a foot soak and got really, really sick. He spent the day in the animal hospital getting IV fluids to help rehydrate him, and they had to shave his leg for the IV. {He came home the next day and ate a sock, so he clearly didn’t learn his lesson...}

I told C we should just work with it and shave all of his legs like a sassy Poodle. C didn’t agree. Hopefully it will grow back out by October, in time for his Halloween cut (totally kidding, but doesn’t that kind of look like him?!).

  1. >Melissa, I definitely wear white pants in the winter! (And I'm not one for "fashion rules", either). To me, there's nothing classier than a lady in winter white trousers with a structured long white coat! But after September, I usually only wear white trousers in wools and dressier fabrics, and save the jeans for summertime.

  2. >You look fantastic! This is a perfect summer outfit.Either I'm a complete rebel or I'm just really clueless, but I keep reading other bloggers saying they have to wear their white pants now while it's still summertime and thinking to myself, "But I'd wear mine in the winter…and I have before…am I just totally wrong?" I kind of don't follow fashion rules like that. If I want to wear white pants, I wear white pants. Darn it. :)

  3. >Awwh poor puppy! But Doak is ADORABLE. Is he a poodle mix or a purebred? (I'm being nosy because I have been contemplating a standard poodle lately, actually)
