I feel like we’re going to float away at any moment… three+ days of consistent rain and clouds. Not that I’m complaining — we need the extra hydration around here, for sure! And it’s a nice reprieve from the 100 degree heat index.

I was forced to use the ol’ timer on the point-and-shoot this afternoon because C had a meeting that kept him away from his {un} official job as A.P.P. photographer. I know, how rude of him to put his full-time, pays-our-mortgage, real-life job in front of snapping photos for my blog!

I balanced the camera on the little wall that surrounds our patio out back, and when I picked it up, it was literally crawling with these little caterpillar things! I don’t know what they are, but they always show up by the dozens this time of year and cover every inch of the exterior of our house.

They kind of creep me out.

  1. >such a cute outfit! and blog! the leopard print umbrella, however, is the icing on the cake ;)xo, Graciehttp://theflipsideofoz.blogspot.com/

  2. >I love it! I bought a woven belt like that in the beginning of the summer and have been wearing it like crazy. Glad to see you are too!

  3. >I like the way you half tuck in your shirt. I'm going to have to try that. And the camera angle (straight on) is flattering and makes you look taller/legs longer. Sometimes the shots from above can make your legs look shorter than they really are. Great outfit today!

  4. >I love this look. You don't look soggy at all! Great answer on Formspring. It's nice to know that you take inspiration from real women. I think that makes you a great fashion blogger!

  5. >I worked at a Belk store through college, and I am seriously upset that this was before the Kristen Davis line existed! Now there are no Belk stores near me, and the website seems to sell out of my size quickly. All of the pieces you have are so cute! I love this look, and I'd be creeped out by those caterpillar things too.

  6. >you are such a cutie. i am loving the brown belt with the black polka dot shirt. you def are looking better than i would after 3 days of rain. i would be in workout gear all day. xoox

  7. >Keira! It's so nice to meet you and your blog! The creepy crawlers must've been attracted to the image they saw on your camera's screen. The tiny polka dots and leopard print are irresistible!

What do you think?
