Warning: Sappiness ahead…
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Nearly every day, I ask my sweet husband, “Do I tell you often enough how much I love you?” To which he {almost always} replies, “yup,” with a big smile and a kiss. I think it’s important to remind the special people in your life about how much they mean to you, and to do it frequently.
So, dear readers… Do I tell you often enough how much I love you?
I started this little blog almost one year ago, when I was in the midst of an anxiety-ridden-quarter-life-crisis. I’d just left my second job in marketing since graduating from college, and I couldn’t have been more confused or unclear about my next step. I was a muddled, mixed-up, hot mess and I filled the void (both the metaphorical one and every bare inch of my closet) with self-destructive compulsive shopping and all-day marathons of Bravo TV. I needed an intervention outlet. APP was born out of a need for distraction from the nagging, life-altering decisions looming over my head.
I never imagined that it would grow so much… or that it would infiltrate so deeply into my everyday life… or that it would open so many doors for me… or that I would meet so many amazing people along the way.
You’re all a constant source of inspiration and encouragement for me, and you helped me get through a pretty yucky time in my life. I wish I had the time and money to fly out and visit each and every one of you to meet for coffee, chat for hours, and hit up your local thrift stores together.
I also wish I had more time to visit all of your blogs more often, and leave more comments, and answer emails quicker, and be even more involved in this awesome community. As most of you know, it can get a little tricky balancing blog-life with real-life; maybe one day I’ll figure it all out.
Until then, know that I’m so grateful that you take a little time out of your day {many of you everyday} to check in here and say hello.
I love you guys

    >I'm so glad today was the day I was able to get back to reading my favorite blogs. I so love APP. Your energy and wit are contagious. Your sense of style is inspiring. While APP may have sprung from a not so awesome time in your life, I feel like maybe we wouldn't have you here if you hadn't gone through that down period. So yay for quarter life crises! Also, that feather clutch is SO wonderful.

  • Katy_rose1 05/17/2011 at 12:32 am

    >Awww. Your blog is great and you totally deserve every great thing that has come as a result of it. Isn't amazing to look back and think of how far you've come in such a short period of time? Those things make me excited for the future. – KatyPS I'm totally jealous these skinny cargos look so good on you. I tried on a number of pairs in the fall and couldn't find one that look normal.
