lately: an instagram round-up

Here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve been up to ’round here {via Instagram; username: @keiralennox}:

… Whipping up birthday cakes. Guilt-free, zero-calorie birthday cakes, FTW. Along with dozens of other flower arrangements that run the gamut from celebrating new babies, to sympathy flowers, to help-me-get-outta-the-doghouse specials. Being a successful florist requires one part creative ingenue, one part hard-nosed business lady, one part understanding therapist, and one part love doctor.

… Going on Staples trips to restock a couple of supplies for the shop, and leaving with an armful of Martha Stewart’s new home office collection and a renewed motivation for extreme organization. Because organization is better when it’s cute.

… Eating [all of] the leftover chocolates from Valentine’s Day. Wasting good chocolate is a heinous crime if you ask me, and I won’t be guilty of it.

… Setting aside more time for date nights with The Mister, even if it’s just going out for a casual dinner and drinks after a long day at the shop or cuddling up with take-out and Dexter on Netflix. Also, squeezing in more spur-of-the-moment girls nights for imbibing, gossiping, and gluten-free-diet-cheating.

… Rockin’ cute aprons to avoid another bleach disaster. If you have to wear an apron to work every day, it better be a cute one. This little ruffly tiered number is from Pier 1 (psst, it’s on clearance for about $7!).

… Taking a few hours out of each week to add new inventory to the boutique and update the online shop.

… Having a spring cleaning sale to make room for said inventory. Out with the old and in with the new!

… Spending more QT with our Doodle baby. More rides, more walks, and more doggie play dates with our friends and their four-legged children. He always needs a little extra TLC after a busy holiday  month.

It’s hard to believe we’re already a week into March!
