Last night, I had a wonderfully relaxing and inspiring dinner date with the lovely Anne of WobiSobi. We caught up on our comings and goings of late and talked blog-shop over lobster mac and cheese, a couple ample glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon, and a baked apple crostini (carbs don’t count on girls’ nights, ya’ll). I’m sure I’ve said it here before, but Anne is one of my favorite people in the world. She’s equal parts listener, encourager, and creative powerhouse, and I think she’s the bee’s knees. Can’t wait for the next one, Anne!

Then, this afternoon a super sweet reader, Emily, stopped in the boutique and did a little shopping. I love meeting readers! It still blows my mind that there are more of you than just my mom, mom-in-law, and Aunt Cindy ;-) You totally made my day, Emily!

Later, two of my mom’s cousins — who I haven’t seen in years — came by the shop. We visited for a bit and my heart just melted when they told me how much they loved the store, and that they were so proud of me. There just never seems to be enough time to spend with your extended family. They left with promises of a brunch soon, and it was such a treat to see them.

Now, I’m counting down the last hour or so of the day and heading to Bling into Spring, an event my friend Meghan is co-hosting with a cool new[ish] spot downtown, The Seasoned Stone, a specialty restaurant with delicious caribbean cuisine, wine, and homemade sangria. Jewelry from m.marie and vino with a few of my favorite girls? I was among the first to RSVP.

Such a great day brightened by great people! And speaking of bright — since this is a style blog, after all — we should probably say a word or two about this dress. Color-blocked, on trend, on sale. Woot.
