It’s been a showery week. It’s hard to find the motivation to get out of bed in the middle of a downpour, much less drag your soggy behind to work. And as for accomplishing anything productive? fuhgettaboudit.

There are handfuls of activities I can think of that I’d rather do in all this rain. None of them require proper attire or leaving the house. They include: Cuddling up with a steamy mug of hot tea and a good book. Watching marathons of cheesy Lifetime movies on the couch with Doak. Taking shamelessly long and luxurious naps. Baking a Pinterest-inspired treat or two. Working on one of the projects from my DIY to-do list (more on that later). Or catching up on my blog reader. Any or all of these would be oh-so-lovely, don’t you think?

Cute summer outfits are best saved for sunny days, so until things clear up I’ll have to think of other ways to entertain you around here. Until then, I’m off to drink a glass of wine for charity at an annual “bartender bash” fundraiser for the local Boys and Girls Clubs. You know, since I’m already out of the house.
