pardon the interruption

I took an unintended hiatus from the blog last week. One of our designers was on vacation through Wednesday, and we spent the last half of the week working on Father’s Day orders, a few small parties, and a very special wedding. It was a busy one, and some things just slipped right by me. Like blogging. Or eating three proper meals a day.

All the while we’ve been working on our move, taking consultation appointments for upcoming events, preparing proposals for those consultations, and trying to clean out the consignment boutique before the end of the month. I’m trying to remember my own advice about balance, and — for good measure — keeping the wine stash stocked.

  1. That’s such a great idea about chopping a strap off a bag! It gives it a whole new look! I’ll have to try this.

    Thanks!

    1. I love this bag so much more now! I’ve had it since high school, so it had one of those really short straps that used to be “in” back then (it sat almost right under my armpit!). It’s like a totally new handbag.

  2. I love your dress! The neckline (front & back) is so cute & flattering, and the pattern is great too. I think you’ll be able to work this dress into your year-round rotation :)

  3. Try Fish Eye boxed wine. It’s perfect if you want a little or need a lot. ;) BALANCE. Always seems so elusive. You’ll find it. You’ll lose it again. You’ll find it again. Hopefully you spotted that slippery sucker and jumped all over it.

  4. You hair looks so cute! Very Adele (who I adore).

  5. super cute dress

  6. Love that dress on you.
