When I got to the shop this morning, C and I headed straight outside to snap blog shots. This is for two reasons: (1) My makeup hasn’t had a chance to fall off my face and my clothes are still freshly pressed, and (2) Every time we say, “we’ll get to that later,” it never happens.
As we walked outside and C spied my feet, he laughed and shook his head. Boots. In a lame attempt to defend my less-than-practical footwear choice, I said, “It’s kind of chilly today, right?” To which he quickly replied, “Nope. Not even a little bit.”
I mean, he’s right; while we’ve had some relief from the stifling heat, 77 degrees isn’t exactly brisk. but it’s almost October and I’ve been staring at these — and other — new cool-weather kicks in my closet for weeks now and I just couldn’t take it anymore.
So until the thermometer starts to drop for real, we can just pretend. Besides, that’s what central air conditioning is for. By next week, I’ll be in scarves.
What do you think?
