Now that I have a few weddings under my belt, I’m really starting to love designing them! Especially when the bride is an old friend. Like Sarah, who’s tying the knot today with her fiance, Kevin (who we see lots of, because he runs our UPS route for the shop and brings all of my Hautelook packages, I mean er, important business stuff). I’ve known Sarah since high school, and she’s a talented musician and all around cool girl that I’ve always admired. I was so excited when she asked me to help with her bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages, and a few other special pieces for her big day.
They’ll say “I do,” in a beautiful garden at a local venue, followed by a fall-themed reception. When I met with Sarah, she told me her color palette would be green, white and orange with fresh green apples used throughout as decoration. We pinned a lot back and forth, and I settled on lots of baby green hydrangea, white lisianthis, orange gerbera daisies, some fun fillers, and a couple of orange tulips for her sister and maid-of-honor who just returned from Holland.
For a peek at {almost} everything I designed for Sarah’s and Kevin’s big day, keep reading!
All that hard work really wore this guy out…
