Last week I got the chance to live out my Gossip Girl floral fantasies with a pink and gold themed bridal shower, inspired by Blake Lively’s oh-my-gorgeous bridal bouquet. {Sidebar: In my dreams, I get to create those no-budget-limit stunners for the kitchen counter in Lily and Rufus’ swanky penthouse apartment; in the good days, before Bart came back from the dead and spoiled everything, blech…}.

Armed with an inspiration photo from Mah-tha (she masterminded Blake and Ryan’s big day; can you imagine?!) and several beautiful gold and silver containers from my friend and shower hostess, Anita, I set to work designing with a delicate mix of peonies, roses, cushions, lisanthis, ginestra, and dusty miller.

When Anita and I chatted about the bride’s vision for the flowers, we agreed that keeping it simple and a little wild was the way to go. I love how feminine and dainty these turned out. Makes me want to have a garden tea party! Who’s bringing the chocolate scones?
