#OOTD: One Piece Wonder

image

I can’t get enough ‘throw this on and you’re done’ pieces in my closet, and jumpsuits are topping my list of one-piece wonders this spring. I have two — this one from Express last year and another by B.B. Dakota — and they’re in regular weekly rotation between work and the weekend. There are endless ways to style them with shoes and layering pieces, and they’re just so easy.

For me, the key to feeling comfortable and (dare I say) age-appropriate in casual jumpsuits is to stick to simple designs in solid colors. At 5’4, wearing a pants playsuit in an allover print makes me look like I raided my toddler niece’s closet.

Looking for a similar style? Here are a few casual black jumpsuit options, all under $100:

LOVEAPPELLA Scoop Neck Blouson Jersey Jumpsuit (Nordstrom, $78)
Halogen V-Neck Sleeveless Jumpsuit (Nordstrom, $78)
American Living Straight-Leg Jumpsuit (Macy’s, $69.50)
Rory Beca Four Pocket Crepe Jumpsuit (Off 5th, $45)
And if you prefer sleeves –> Cap-Sleeve Button-Front Jumpsuit (NM Last Call, $59.50)

  9. I love my black jumpsuit too! It’s a sateen material so it’s nice enough to wear to a casual wedding, but also great for relaxing with friends!

  10. Reblogged this on Past Life Parisian and commented:
I wish wish wish I could wear these fabulous jumpsuits!! Unfortunately they just don’t suit my body type! I’ve tried tons on with no luck :(
I have an hourglass shape, and I find jump suits make me look too hippy.
BUT if you’re lucky enough to be able to wear one… check out this article!!

I’m still on the hunt ;)

  23. This is perfect! I’ve been looking for a jumpsuit under $100, seems that everything is so expensive! Would’ve never guessed Macy’s or Nordstrom would have things for such low prices! Thanks for the info!
