To file under ‘Ways I’m Becoming My Mother.’
I buy stuff I love in bulk. If Costco sold high-rise skinny jeans and boxy cotton tees in assorted 12-packs, I’d be all over it.
Some things I purchased in triplicate — or more, don’t judge me — within the last two years: LC Lauren Conrad ‘Valencia’ skinny flip flops in black and tan (a cheaper alternative of my beloved leather TKEES); Old Navy boyfriend fit button-downs; American Eagle hi-rise skinny jeggings; and Free People ‘free falling’ tees.
I need backups. And in some cases, my backups need backups. Because I just don’t have the time or energy to marathon shop anymore; so when I find something I feel good wearing, I buy it in every color. See: My Top 10 Wardrobe Essentials.
Now, with all that said, get ye to jcrew.com and order the ‘Turner’ pant, on final sale, before they run out of all the sizes and you miss the opportunity to indulge in this magic for less than $20:
“We took a classic lounge pant (think an elastic waist and ankle cuffs) and dressed it up for work (and cocktails after) with heavy matte crepe. So it’s like you’re wearing pj’s to the office, but not.”
{I ordered them in 3 colors.}
