Taking Stock

Keira Lennox Firewalker Sunflowers Painted in Waterlogue

Making : progress on our flower shop move to-do list. We’re less than two months out, and besides a refrigeration guy telling me our old walk-in cooler may not survive another relocation (awesome) it’s all coming up roses.
Hoping : someone’s selling a decent walk-in cooler on Craigslist…
Baking : #pumpkineverything! I love this recipe for pumpkin muffins with dark chocolate chips; and I just bookmarked these healthy breakfast cookie recipes to try this weekend.
Reading : Bette Davis’ autobiography, The Lonely Life, that I found at the used bookstore. I just finished (and really enjoyed) What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty.
Playing : WordBrain.
Enjoying : slightly cooler weather; but it will probably be a while until we can knock the dust off our sweaters around here.
Listening : to a lot of Van Morrison lately. #thisis30
Liking : The Pioneer Woman’s kitchen collection for Walmart. I want to stock my cupboards with her colorful printed bowls.
Loving : evening marathons of Parks and Recreation on Netflix.
Bookmarking : 20 concealer hacks every woman should know.
Smelling : the dried lavender I nabbed from the flower shop. It’s amazing how one small bundle can fill the house with calming fragrance.
Wearing : Lollia ‘Relax’ perfume, my everyday favorite.
Giggling : at how on-point ‘What You Wore to Homecoming In The Early 2000s‘ is.
Feeling : happy. Fall just does that to a girl.

I am definitely going to check out that WordBrain app! I need something to do while waiting in line at the grocery store that’s not scrolling through Facebook.

  4. It’s amazing how you’re saying fall makes you feel happy, it must be the climate in the area you reside in. I usually feel slightly sad and later even a little bit depressed because late fall is usually nasty in Ontario, Canada, the same goes for the land of my origin Latvia. Working in a flower shop must be great, especially if you sketch, paint or photograph flowers and are excited bout new designs. Interesting blog!

  13. I have my lavender incense burning right now.

When I was younger, I was not so fond of the smell of lavender. Now it’s one of my favorites!

    Funny how time changes things.
