Yesterday morning, C and I headed to Bok Tower Gardens for their annual Boktoberfest plant sale. We were on a mission to scope out nurseries for the flower shop, and find new varieties of orchids and air plants to add to our retail inventory. It was a beautiful day at one of my very favorite places.
I found a lovely french market basket after months of searching — sidebar: The Little Market has some great ones if you’re on the hunt, too — and tried (unsuccessfully) to convince C to let me take home a little black pot-bellied pig from the petting zoo.
Here’s a fun fact: Did you know plumeria can root from a cutting that basically looks like a stick? (They’re the y-shaped sticks in the photo above.) The guy told us you basically stick it in a pot with some soil and leave it alone, so we were like, ‘we’re in!’ We brought one home, and as of right now it’s sitting on the kitchen counter, so we’re off to a great start. I’ll let you know how it goes. Plumeria was my Bath & Body Works jam in middle school, so here’s hoping. ;)
What do you think?
