When a shopping mission goes wrong, but turns out alright.
Chambray vest: Chico’s sale
Camisole: Lou & Grey (I love the fabric, and want this silky cami in every color!)
White Skinnies: Earl Jeans via TJMaxx
Leather ballet flats: Kohl’s (found on major sale, also bought black and cognac suede)
I ducked into Chico’s on my way into LOFT a few weeks ago. It was my first visit; I popped in on a whim, remembering a friend’s cute leather ankle wrap sandals that I thought she bought there…
I quickly realized I was in the wrong place for shoes, remembered the aforementioned sandals were from Talbots, and made a note to find them online. But the entire store was 30 or 40% off, so I figured a quick lap around couldn’t hurt.
I spied several cute things while I browsed, like a black and white striped off-the-shoulder top, a long sleeveless tunic (that would be great over skinnies with a long necklace) and a relaxed pullover dress.
I found this chambray drape vest on the clearance rack, and thought it would be perfect to add to my growing collection of “completer pieces” for easy outfits. Remaining sizes are limited online (I bought their ‘0’, and I’m usually a size 6 in tops) so if you need a small, Shopbop has a cute version from BB Dakota on sale under $40.
What do you think?
