Friday’s Five

My easy summer Friday #OOTD: a LOFT strappy cami  ‘modern kick crop’ jeans (they’re the perfect summer jean!) with my favorite Cuyana bag.

TGIF! It’s shaping up to be a working weekend for me, but I hope to squeeze in some sunshine, reading, and quality time with my Netflix queue. (I want to dive into GLOW; anyone watched it yet?)

I had a bit of a “shoemergency” yesterday: I wore completely impractical espadrille wedges expecting a low-key day, but had to kick it into high gear to cover an under-the-weather employee. I popped into Belk between flower deliveries on a mission to find pair of comfy flats. My favorite Lucky Brand ‘Emmie’ ballet flats were on sale for $40, so I snagged a pair in this pretty bright coral leather and got back on the road. Serendipity!

Doak and I are 22 days into our new routine of walking for at least 30 minutes every day, inspired by my friend, Anne, and her 90-day challenge. It has been so great for both of us!

I love these baby Jo Malone colognes that I received as gifts-with-purchase when the brand launched at Sephora last spring. They’re the perfect size to stash in my handbag and feel like a little spritz of luxury in my day-to-day. The peony & blush suede is a feminine floral, and the basil & neroli is fresh and green.
