Happy Friday! It’s been a great, productive week around here; maybe because I’m still feeling really energized by the fresh start of the new year. This weekend is my last quiet one before the holiday marathon begins — we start planning and preparing for Valentine’s Day about three weeks out to get ahead of the mad rush — so I have a stack of books ready for a lazy weekend in.
A few notes to get the weekend party started:
- If you haven’t watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel yet, put it on your to-do list. You can watch the Pilot
for free on Amazon.
- Soma is having a “stock up and save” sale on their lingerie and loungewear this weekend with an extra 50% off sale prices. I love their bras, especially their ‘Stunning Support’ line.
- With our recent cold weather, my new favorite thing is a hot toddy topped with bourbon gourmet marshmallows
. So much yum.
Happy weekend!

I’ve been loving The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel lately! Such a funny series – and definitely a more uplifting show after coming down from a GOT marathon. BTW, I don’t suggest doing that. Ever. ;-) You should look up DIY concrete plant pots. That would be such a fun workshop for your flower shop! XO and happy new year, lady!
I love that you’re enjoying ‘Maisel’!
Have you ever watched ‘Odd Mom Out’ on Bravo? In one season, the lead’s convinces her best friend to watch GOT so they can talk about it, so the friend spends a snowed-in weekend marathoning it and ends up having a nervous breakdown by the end. Haha!
I will definitely check out that DIY! Happy new year, Jayme!!
OMG, those celfie vases!
Aren’t they adorable?! Our customers love them! :)
It may not align with your blog theme, but I know I would LOVE a post about DIY house plants in containers. I never know what container is ok to use, drainage or not, what to fill it with. Love your blog!
I love this idea! I’ll add it to my list. Thank you, Gaile!
Have the SAME shirt from J.Crew! That store is my JAM!! #onlineBFFs 😂.
I’m curious about what you think about Truly, Madly, Guilty, which was my las Audible audiobook. Can’t wait to here!!
I SO look forward to your blog posts!! Keep them coming!!!
