This + That

• This ‘ethereal rock and roll makeup‘ collab video with Estee Lalonde is what officially kicked off my girl crush on Katie Jane Hughes.

• Good news for all us crazies who use baby talk with their dogs: a new study shows they may prefer it to a flat, boring voice.

• Into the Gloss — one of my favorite beauty resources on the web — rounded up 9 skin care mistakes skin experts want us to know (and stop making).

• Georgio Armani rereleased an old best-seller (and Kardashian favorite?) Face Fabric foundation, and considering how much I love the Luminous Silk formula, I may make a trip to Sephora to grab it today. Allana did a full review here.

• While I’m there, I need to restock my favorite dry shampoo because I can’t get through the summer heat and humidity without it.

• Only Kate could make me want to wear a cute summer fanny pack (it’s only $40!).

• Getting a perm my freshman year of college was the worst hair mistake I ever made: I wanted voluminous, Victoria’s Secret waves and ended up with 50% corkscrew curls and 50% sizzle-fried breakage; I swore I’d never do it again. But now Man Repeller says perms are back, and the modern iterations are less poodle, more lived-in beach wave. I’m kinda into it.

Tera shared a house tour on her blog, and I want to move in! Our home decor styles are so similar; we both share an appreciation for old pieces mixed with new, lots of color, tidiness over perfection, and lived-in coziness.

• Here’s another ‘crazy colorful’ home tour I love!

• Damsel in Dior made a helpful guide of the best summer basics to stock your wardrobe with everything you need for an effortlessly stylish season.

• The stunning Lydia Elise Millen wrote a great post about getting your blogging mojo back. My favorite point: “This is the one space on the internet that is just for you. You own it, you control it, and ain’t no algorithm gonna decide who sees what you post!”

Reese’s Book Club is on Audible! I love following her recommendations on Instagram, and now you can preorder her picks on audio each month. The June book is Something In The Water by Catherine Steadman.

• We all know I love a good mule sandal. I spotted these clear Jeffrey Campbell ‘Minuit’ sandals, and I want ’em for summer.
