Realisation Par – The Naomi Skirt ($180)

When my friend, Kelly, popped into the shop yesterday wearing this silk leopard slip skirt, I was instantly obsessed and I haven’t stopped thinking about how I need it in my closet immediately. When I told her how much I loved it, she told me she knew I would and then gave me the deets so I could find it for myself. This is true friendship, y’all; the kind of Ramona Singer ‘women supporting other women’ that we all need in our lives. (Are you listening to the Watch What Crappens podcast yet, Bravo fans? Ben and Ronnie speak to me in my head in Housewives soundbites all day long.)

So I googled the skirt this morning and I guess I was living under a rock last summer: Who What Wear dubbed it ‘the most viral clothing piece of the year’; it broke Instagram and sold out more than once. It’s back in stock in all sizes now.

This is not an inexpensive skirt. However, it’s an all-season investment piece that can live in your closet for years, and it’s way more versatile than you may think. I found a dozen easy outfits built around this statement piece on Instagram, and at the end of the post I’ll share some alternatives under $100. (Although, having seen this piece in person, I think it’s worth the splurge if it’s in your budget.)
