Happy Friday! I’m bringing Style Files back (please read that to the tune of Justin Timberlake’s ‘SexyBack‘ as I heard it in my head) to share my real-life weekday OOTDs. I haven’t posted roundups of my outfits in a while, but a few readers requested I bring it back and I think it will be a great way to stay motivated to remix all the pieces in my closet as part of my Low-Buy New Year. Be prepared to see me wear my favorite basics over and over — like these Everlane high-rise skinnies and the Cuyana structured leather tote that helps me schlep all my stuff to work every day — which is honestly something I love to see on other style blogs I follow because it feels more relatable than a seemingly bottomless wardrobe. (And let’s be real, even if I had a bottomless wardrobe, I’d probably still wear the same 10 things on repeat.)
I’ll always link the pieces that are still available and/or select similar pieces to shop if you dig something I’m wearing; just click the links in the captions and it’ll take you straight there. Please note that Style File posts contain affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you purchase something from the retailers I link to in my recommendations.
A note: I really love wrap sweaters and tops; I think they’re so flattering and I always feel great in them. This one is from LOFT and it’s on sale now.
This is probably the last week I’ll be able to get away with sweaters; even here I’m pushing it and blasting the air conditioning. (My sympathies to all of you stuck in snowmaggedon.)
I’m so stoked on my new Cuyana mini circle belt bag! It’s the perfect little bag for the weekend and errands, and it’s pretty fantastic to be hands-free (but you can wear it as a little shoulder bag, too).
