New LOFT High Rise Denim Styles I Love

LOFT High Rise Denim Review Fall 2019

I ordered two pairs of LOFT high rise denim from a recent sale and they arrived this week. I tried them on this morning and it was love at first sight. So I whipped out my camera, snapped a few quick mirror selfies wearing the jeans, and hopped on the blog to share a quick review!

If you’re in the market for fresh denim this fall, 10/10 would recommend these two high rise styles. If you’re planning a capsule wardrobe this season, a pair of skinnies + vintage-inspired straight leg jeans are great foundations for all kinds of outfits.

High Rise Skinny Jean

These LOFT high rise skinny jeans hit all the boxes of what I look for in a pair of skinnies. The denim feels thick and substantial (like my 100% cotton jeans that I love) but they also have a good amount of stretch. So they’ll hold you in for a flattering silhouette, and move with you throughout the day without losing their shape. They also have a great waistband that doesn’t gap in the back or roll down, which is one of my biggest gripes with jeans.

For reference, I’m wearing these high rise skinny jeans in size 29 petite, which is a perfect fit for me. I have a 34″ waist and 42″ hips and I’m 5’4″ tall, and I usually wear a 28-29 in denim, depending on the brand. So I’d say they’re true-to-size. (The petite length has a 26.5″ inseam; the regular is 29″.)

They’re also available in dark denim!

High Rise Straight Leg Jean

High rise straight leg jeans are my go-to lately. I find they balance my wide hips and lengthen my petite stems, making me look leaner and taller. (Yes, please!) My Pinterest style boards are filled with casual outfits built around this denim wardrobe staple.

These LOFT high rise straight leg jeans have the vintage vibes of my Levi’s Wedgie jeans, but the added stretch makes them way more comfortable. They have a tiny bit of distressing for a lived-in vibe. And like the skinnies, the waistband on the straight leg jean doesn’t gap or roll. I’m wearing a 29 petite in these, too.

I never pay full price for LOFT denim; I wait for the brand’s storewide sales to snag it on a discount. Right now, you can take 40% off your loft.com purchase with the code FALLFEST, which makes these LOFT high rise denim styles under $50 each.
