This is a quick post to introduce you to the budget-friendly denim I can’t stop wearing: the H&M Vintage Slim High Ankle Jeans. When I tell you I throw these babies on at least twice a week…

All the credit for this find goes to Helena of Brooklyn Blonde. When I saw her wearing them on Instagram last summer, I went straight to hm.com and ordered a pair for myself.
I reach for these vintage-inspired jeans more often than my similar designer options; they’re always on the top of the denim pile in my closet. If you love the look of Re/Done stovepipe jeans but don’t want to spend over $250 for them, I highly recommend giving the H&M Vintage Slim High Ankle Jeans a go.
If super-distressed denim isn’t your thing, there’s a classic blue jean version and a versatile washed black. I may snag a pair in cream for the spring and summer, too.
Notes On Sizing
These jeans run true-to-size, but for an easy, vintage, relaxed fit, I recommend sizing up. I typically wear a 28-29 in similar styles of vintage-cut denim, and I wear a 29 in these.
I’m 5’4, and even though these are ‘ankle length’, they were about an inch too long for my preference. I hacked them hems with a pair of fabric scissors for my perfect 25-26″ inseam.
