I love an easy dress in a bright unexpected color. This little number is pretty old — it’s from the Mango for jcpenney line several years ago — but it’s a favorite, and the color is seriously bright. I wore it on Sunday to attend Easter service with my parents, and kept it simple with nude Charles David leather pumps and my Cuyana carryall. (Speaking of Cuyana, I’m eyeing their new structured cinch bag for spring!)
The only thing I love more than coral this spring is cobalt blue. I wore this flutter sleeve shift dress from Macy’s yesterday for our dear friends’ baby’s baptism, followed by a beautiful brunch at their parent’s home. All the girls spent the day before celebrating a birthday poolside, and my sunburnt thighs weren’t down for anything that required Spanx.
Pardon the wet grass stuck to my feet. I self-timed this quick outfit photo after I took Doak on his morning stroll, then dashed to work. Late. So, ya know… ‘keepin’ it real’ and stuff. ;) I love these Free People ‘High Rise Roller’ skinnies because they’re super soft and fit like a jegging, and I’m building a little collection of their perfectly oversized American-made tees and tanks.
I can’t get enough ‘throw this on and you’re done’ pieces in my closet, and jumpsuits are topping my list of one-piece wonders this spring. I have two — this one from Express last year and another by B.B. Dakota — and they’re in regular weekly rotation between work and the weekend. There are endless ways to style them with shoes and layering pieces, and they’re just so easy.
Never met an animal print I didn’t like!
I can’t resist white lace shorts in the spring. I know I’m going to drip chocolate ice cream or ketchup on them by the third wear, but I see them on the rack and I just need them. Like a clumsy spill-prone moth to a flame. This pair is Cynthia Rowley from T.J. Maxx, but these eyelet lace shorts from LOFT are a super cute, too!
